After identifying Waters as the suspect, investigators obtained warrants and quickly located him at a home on Locklyn Road in Waxhaw. Collaborating with Monroe police, Waxhaw police, and the Union County Sheriff’s Office, officers executed a search warrant, leading to Waters’ arrest. However, before he could be booked into jail, Waters managed to escape custody and remains at large in the vicinity of Carroll Street, Rolling Hill Drive, and King Arthur Drive.
